Bed Bath & Beyond To Reopen Revamped NYC Flagship Amid Modernization Efforts

Amid efforts to modernize its stores in its effort to become a “digital first, omni-always retailer,” Bed Bath & Beyond plans to reopen its revamped flagship brick-and-mortar retail location in New York City. The 92,000 square-foot store is in the city’s Chelsea neighborhood. The retailer has worked with different brands to provide unique experiences at the location, including over 20 “merchandising experiences” that feature the company’s private-label brands in addition to national brands.

Google Tweaks Shopping Tab Features As ‘Discount Code’ Searches Spike 50 Pct

Search giant Google is introducing new features to its Shopping tab to help consumers save money. Users will now be able to see the most relevant, currently available deals related to a product category when performing a search in the Shopping tab. Google is also planning to launch a “merchant deals carousel” on its Search tab ahead of the holiday shopping season, allowing consumers to swipe through deals and discounts during major sales events such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Sleep Number Supply Constraints Mar Second-Quarter Sales

Supply chain issues are keeping Sleep Number up at night as demand continues to outpace supply, component shortages linger and several suppliers limit output amid unspecified issues. Customer delivery windows for the Sleep Number “360 smart beds” were extended in late May to four to six weeks, though CEO Shelly Ibach said the company has made significant progress and brought the delivery window back to three weeks.

Target, Ulta To Make ‘Prestige Beauty’ More Accessible With Shop-In-Shops

Ulta Beauty at Target “shop-in-shops” are set to launch in more than 100 Target stores throughout the country and online in August, with plans to expand to 800 stores nationwide in the years to come. Urban Decay, MAC Cosmetics, Drybar and Clinique are some of the prestige brands included in the Ulta Beauty at Target collection. Future locations for Ulta Beauty at Target are slated for Target stores in Texas, New York, Illinois and California, among other states.
